Meet & Greet Evening - Al.Gonquin's Cottage Grill - Newmarket - Monday, June 16th, 7pm.
To launch our pride week, on Monday 16th June we will be hosting an informal social evening at Al.Gonquin's Cottage Grill in Newmarket.
As with all our events, we extend an invitation to all families and friends, not only within the LGBTQ2 community but also the community at large. This event is open to people of all age groups.
Al.Gonquin's Dining Room Al Gonquin's has been a popular home of great food and fun people ever since it opened ten years ago. In recent years it has also been a favourite venue for regular social events organized by GLAYR (Gay And Lesbian Association Of York Region).
Al.Gonquin's - View From Davis Drive This Newmarket bar and restaurant offers excellent service and a friendly atmosphere. It is located on the southwest corner of Yonge St and Davis Drive, just across the street from Upper Canada Mall. Look for the big canoe sign! There's plenty of parking, accessible eastbound on Davis Drive just before Yonge St., and northbound or southbound from Yonge St. near the Chapters store. It's also within easy walking distance from Newmarket bus terminal.
How To Get There
By car By car: Take highway 404 to Davis Drive, Newmarket and turn east towards the town centre. Continue along Davis Drive, past the town centre, to the intersection with Yonge St. Turn left (south) onto Yonge Street and then take the very first turning on the right. (See map below).
By public transit By public transit: Take the VIVA Blue bus north to the Newmarket terminal. Walk west along Davis Drive for approx 5 minutes. Al.Gonquin's is on the right just before the intersection with Yonge St.
